Theatre

Since 1975, worked as a professional actor, writer, musician, maker and producer in Children’s Theatre and Theatre in Education. The work has been characterised by a strong and continuing commitment to: 

  • excellence in the presentation of theatre for children;
  • community cultural development;
  • a celebration of Australia’s cultural diversity;
  • a belief in the importance of theatre in a child’s development.

1975-1985  Founding member of Pipi Storm Children’s Theatre, touring performances and workshops to schools around Australia with productions including Pipi Storm Circus, Pipi Storm Children’s Circus, Kids Kabaret, Media Mania, Either You Habit or You Don’tA Sore Tail and Carburetta and Dummy Half.

1985-1995  Performer, writer, maker, producer and musician in Children’s Theatre, Theatre in Education and Community Theatre in performances including The Dresses, Women Out West, The Bombshells, The Not Too Late Show, Rainbow and Fig, Ain’t What You ThinkI Know That Now, Waterloo Sunrise, “9 to 9”, Tiddalik, The Rainbow BunyipAn Evening of Dreaming, An Evening of Many Cultures, Circus Scarborough, The Sign of the Seahorse and Elemence.

1992-2018 Writer, performer, producer and musician touring one person shows to schools, pre schools, libraries, art galleries, theatres and festivals around Australia. Productions include At the Foot of the Storytellers Chair, Stories Given Handed On, An Audience with Miaow, When Camels Could Fly, Stories in the Shade of A Tree, Aditi and Her Rickshaw, Floating on a Sea of Stories, My Fine Feathered Friends, On A Far Far Away Mountain, The Fabuloso Feast of Fernanda and Turbans, Ties and Turkish Slippers.
